If you have ever asked yourself “Why the “F” did I go into business for myself?” Then you are in the right place, because I am going to share with you 3 tips to reduce that feeling of inundation and make you more productive to grow your business.

Most business owners ask themselves this very question MANY times daily. So I will validate you and tell you that you are not alone!

The overwhelm of a day is all encompassing to the point where making a rational decision is impossible….in fact no decision can be made.

Our heads spin out of control on this roller coaster ride.

Everything seems fine, right? Sales are up or at least consistent, cash is coming in, bills are getting paid, growth is happening, Team seems happy.

THEN….BAM….the sinkhole opens and everything feels like it’s upside down in a split second!

It happens to the best of us. No matter if you are new in business for have been seasoned for 30+ years in business. It happens.

Let me help you talk yourself off the ledge with my 3 Tips to Reducing This Overall Overwhelm that debilitates us as entrepreneurs.

1. Block Time

You have a task list daily. Try to reach the goals you set. Have a plan for the day. Right?

But then when you walk through the door of the business… and you get slammed with 47 “things” that you need to “fix” for everyone around you.

Fires to put out, if you will. And you get NOTHING done for yourself!

This actually hinders the company’s growth.

Blocking time will actually save you and keep you on target. Seriously!

Highlight whatever time you need to knock out each important task that must be accomplished today by YOU!

Whatever needs to be done to move the business forward: DO IT! And do it first and foremost!

2. ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS

Yes, this seems very elementary and more like common sense. But common sense isn’t always common practice!

How often do you check social media? Take phone calls? Answer emails and texts? These are all interruptions!

There needs to be NO distractions during the blocked time.

Here’s a tip: pretend you have a video camera following you all day. How many times would you get “caught” doing something you shouldn’t be doing? Being unproductive?

Mmm hmmmm…tisk tisk!

Turn off notifications. Send calls directly to voicemail. No walk-ins to your office. NOTHING! I mean it! That camera is watching you.

3. FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS MOST

What should you be working on NOW? Right now, for the betterment of the company?

DO IT NOW WITH BLOCKED TIME AND NO DISTRACTIONS! Imagine the productivity you will have to grow and drive your company!

Now here’s the thing…it’s time to stop doing what isn’t your job.

Sometimes you tell yourself it’s just easier if you do it or you can do it better/faster. And maybe you can, but it doesn’t mean that’s the answer.

Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should! Plus you will only hurt or insult your team member that is responsible for that task.

Just do what you do to move the needle of the business!

“He who makes the most of his time will accomplish the most”-Grant Cardone

That quote may seem like common sense but it’s not common practice.

We all have the same 24 hours in a day to work with. It’s what we do with that time that matters!

We can’t waste time as entrepreneurs. Every minute counts.

After all TIME IS MONEY. The best news is that YOU CONTROL TIME. TIME doesn’t control you.

Now implement these 3 tips TODAY! Yes, RIGHT NOW, and watch your productivity soar. >br>
